I've always been the one who finds the perfect piece. The one who believes a gift should say something. So when I got married, I skipped the traditional registry entirely. It felt impersonal, overwhelming, and frankly a little tacky – filled with things I did not need or have the space for.
Instead I cobbled together my own solution – linking multiple sources on my wedding website, with the goal of sourcing unique decorative objects that would elevate my space. It worked, but it was fragmented and inelegant. It shouldn't be that hard.
