A rare and beautiful antique Delft flower brick, hand-painted in cobalt blue with a pastoral landscape scene — cottages, towers, and flowering branches wrapping the sides. The pierced top holds individual stems, a pre-18th century predecessor to the modern flower frog.
Display with a small arrangement of garden flowers tucked into the holes, or set empty on a bookshelf or mantle as the extraordinary antique object it is.
