An antique French confit jar in glazed earthenware, dipped halfway in a warm ochre glaze over a bare terracotta base, with a small loop handle on either side. Jars like these once held duck and goose preserved in fat, and their drips, glaze loss and worn bases are part of the appeal. Fill one with wildflowers or branches, keep wooden spoons by the stove, use it as a cachepot for herbs, or group a few in different sizes on an open shelf or kitchen island.
Available in four sizes; each is sold individually and varies slightly in shape and glaze color.
