Bienaimé Apothecary Collection

This exquisite brand was first launched back in 1935 by the French chemist-turned-visionary perfumer Robert Bienaimé to much success, but sadly faded into obscurity following his death in 1960. Until 2021, that is, when brand revivalist Cécilia Mergui came across a vintage Bienaimé powder compact while browsing at a yard sale. Captivated by the old-school charm of this object, she set out to bring the once-illustrious fragrance house back to life, blending Bienaimé’s existing aesthetic and heritage with her own passion for Art Deco design and a modern sense of sustainability. Today, Bienaimé’s luxe line of toiletries are handmade in France following age-old soap-making techniques from Marseille and using sustainable, natural origin ingredients. We’ve introduced their hand cream, liquid soap and fluted bar soap into our collection, all in the brand’s beloved La Vie en Fleurs scent — originally created by Robert Bienaimé himself and featuring notes of raspberry, mandarin, peony, violet, rose, white musk, iris and heliotrope for an enchanting, floral-fruity fragrance. Not only will this collection make a luxe addition to your daily routine, it will also look lovely sitting out in the powder room thanks to its stunning (and recyclable!) packaging, from elegant Art Deco-inspired bottles to chic, old-fashioned boxes that practically beg to be reused as trinket boxes.
