Butler Pillow

Our JH x Tensira Butler Pillow is an instant classic. We created this throw pillow in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish textile husband-and-wife team that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamt up Butler’s simple pattern in-house, taking our inspiration from classic shadow stripe motifs. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought our design to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and dyed following old-school methods that have been passed down for generations. Finally, we finished it off with a tidy envelope zipper closure and a plush down and feather pillow insert for soft, sink-into-me comfort. In a goes-with-everything palette of black, bluish-grey and cream, it’s the perfect mix of European elegance and global authenticity — great solo on a favorite armchair or layered with our other JH x Tensira Pillows on the sofa or bed for an effortlessly chic feel.
