Coated Placemat, Vegetal Mood

Le Jacquard Français wove this at Gérardmer in the Vosges. Jacquard damask, so the acacia leaves and foliage read on both faces, then an acrylic coating goes over the top and it wipes clean with a damp sponge. Combed long-fibre cotton, 20 x 14 in / 50 x 36 cm, in Bolet, a warm brown.
