Made from super-soft silk velvet, Desi is crafted following traditional ikat techniques — a centuries-old resist-dyeing process that originated in Central Asia. In this method, threads are wrapped around a frame and individually tied off with pigment-resistant palm fibers before dyeing and weaving. With each new dye color, fibers are added or removed to create a colorful and uniquely intricate motif. Bold and hypnotic, Desi is patterned with winding, concentric black lines and eye-catching orange circles on a soft cream ground. We’ve finished it with neutral linen backing, a hidden zipper closure and a plush down and feather insert.
