Slag glass was a happy accident of early industrial glassmaking, molten color folded into clear glass before either had fully set. This pedestal vase, likely American and dating to the early 1900s, came out a deep blackberry swirled through with white, darkening toward the fluted body and lifting to pale lavender at the scalloped rim.
