Table Runner, Sulawesi

Hibiscus and foliage run the length of the table, drawn loose, the way a Balinese weaving is loose. The runner does the work on bare wood.

From Le Jacquard Français, woven at Gérardmer in the Vosges. Jacquard damask, so the drawing reads on both faces. 100% cotton, 20 x 59 in, mitered corners, in green Canopée or blue Terre Indigo. One of each came in.
