A cabinet of curiosities laid flat. Crystals and mineral specimens set under glass cloches, drawn the way a nineteenth century collector would have arranged them.

Le Jacquard Français weaves it at Gérardmer, in the Vosges, as a jacquard damask, so the specimens read on both faces of the cloth. Combed cotton in Charbon, a charcoal so dark it reads almost black, 24 by 31 inches, with an Irretrex finish that keeps it from shrinking in the wash.
